Moses

This cat is amazing! He thinks he is a dog and wants to go out in the snow with them. When he's ready to come in he will "attack" any window screen where he can be seen by us (usually outside the window by my computer desk). You can see what I have to deal with when he comes in. Of course, he wants to lay on my chest to warm up. Ugh!

Inside he sits in the window watching the bird feeders. We get many "ground feeders" such as quail and dove. Jim always puts seed on the ground as well as the hanging feeders. As you can see, he is "guarding the seed". Shame on him, cheeeky fellow!

Kitten

Here he is! I finally got Moses to sit still enough to photograph. As you can see from the shots he is still on the move. Such a busy kitty!

He's not quite the perfect cat I was hoping for but I'm sure we'll adjust. He needs to be neutered, of course. He will also need some serious grooming. I wasn't aware of how terribly matted he is. Being he is an indoor/ outdoor cat, I'm afraid we'll have to wait on that until the weather gets warmer. I guess it's good he can manage outside and usually comes when I call him. (he's figured out where the chow is!) It also means NO litter box ( Jim hates them!!!) But I wanted a cat to sit in my lap, etc. He's not quite there, a bit lovey after he eats, that's all! Perhaps he will mellow as he ages and after he's neutered.

Kitten

Well, the kitty comes and goes... I finally got my cat yesterday. He sat in the window all day just out of reach of the dogs. But first chance he got he bolted for his old home. Ashlyn will bring him over again today. She's not to feed him anymore. I guess it's a good thing that his old home is so near. I'd hate to think of him out in this weather. We just had a good snow storm and it's freezing out there!

Kitten

Some of you may have noticed the "kitty" blinkie that was added recently. Yep! I'm getting a cat finally! I've wanted one for soooo long. I haven't had a cat in about five years and I miss having a cat to cuddle with. Not that I don't love our dogs, but a cat is sooo different. DH has been against having a cat and with our traveling it made sense.

My cat is about one year old now. He's been a neighbor girl's so I've known him since he was a tiny furball. The special thing about him is that he isn't afraid of big dogs. Our dogs are so interested in him & would love to chase him. She thought he was a female at first and named him Lily. That was soon changed to Tiger Lily. But they really just call him "kitty". So I think I'm going to name him Moses.

I was supposed to get him Easter Sunday however... life has a way of changing on a dime! He will come home this afternoon when we've returned from DH's doctor appointment. Yesterday when I went to the pharmacy I also picked up kitty things. I'm so excited!!

Photos will be taken ASAP!
